Xel Ha is a national park located just 10 minutes south of Akumal in Tulum, Mexico. The park is both freshwater and saltwater fed and there is a deep blue lagoon, which is a great place for snorkeling with tropical fish, or swimming with dolphins. As you enter the park, you are greeted by parrots, toucans, and other brightly colored native birds, as well as an occasional iguana. The Dolphin Discovery program allows you to swim with these playful creatures - an experience you won't soon forget! Bring your snorkel gear and prepare to be amazed. Snorkeling gear and lockers are available for rent at the park. The park is also self-contained with shops and restaurants. A huge buffet featuring local dishes is available at the main palapa restaurant located in the center of the park, so make a day of it.
